Procedural or visual modelling allows to program and configure geometry. Various blocks are connected together to apply a chain of operations and modifications on objects.

As such, a model can be entirely regenerated after changing a setting, with no manual intervention.
This type of modelling interface exists in several software:

- Revit, with Dynamo
- Rhino, with Grasshopper
- Unreal Engine, with Blueprints
